Resource Planning Application in SAP CRM

Resource Planning Application is the application we use for managing the resource

    - Allocating Work (assignment)

    - To view Project Schedule, such as demands from the customers and assignments to the resources

    - To view other details related to the assignment such as Date, Address, Time, etc

Scenario

• Mr. S just bought a PC from E systems.
• Ms. D is a dispatcher at E Systems; she makes sure that all demands are assigned to right technician.
• Mr. F is the service/repair engineer at E systems.
• Mr. S has some problem with his system and calls up E systems for help (Demand).
• Ms.D attends to his call and takes all necessary details to assign a right technician to solve this issue.
• (Qualification Availability, Location)
• She finds Mr. F is suitable and assigns the task to him (Creation of assignment).

•  Before creating an assignment Ms.D wants to check where exactly is Mr. F currentlyworking?

•  So she can search for demands on that particular day, and click on “DisplayAssignments” button so all the assignments for that day is displayed. She nowselects that assignment (multi select) and clicks on "show data on map”button in the Map. She is able to locate where exactly Mr. F is currently working and on what.

•  Once it’s confirmed that Mr. F is near the demand location, she creates an assignment and then sends him the directions thru mail /sms via “Send Route”button.
