We provide a simple installation process for Torch on Mac OS X and Ubuntu 12+:

Torch can be installed to your home folder in ~/torch by running these three commands:

# in a terminal, run the commands WITHOUT sudo
git clone https://github.com/torch/distro.git ~/torch --recursive
cd ~/torch; bash install-deps;
./install.sh
