设置samba权限

configure one share directory, take following information as a reference. In order to write to this directory, it is need to "chmod 777 /home/share"

path            = /home/share
;public         = yes
browseable      = yes
writable        = yes
available       = yes
valid users     = @bards
write list      = @bards
create mode     = 666
directory mode  = 777

 

 

 1. First check the account on the Linux OS (or use "adduser <user_name>" to add new user)

     cat /etc/passwd  

or

     cat /etc/group

 

2. Setting the password of the valid user in Linux OS

    smbpasswd <user_name>

 

3. In the samba configuration file "smb.conf (/etc/samba/smb.conf)" modify the share options.

    add the "valid users = @<user_name>"

 

4. restart the samba server

 

5. Now, when access the samba share folder, it need the password.
