Howto: Fix The Error of Cannot Run “im_chooser”

Problem: After I forbid the using of “im_chooser”, as a unexpected reason, command “im_chooser” is not able to run again, whenever I logoff the system or reboot the computer.

Every time I type “im_chooser” on the command client, I receive a warning that a function cannot run because of file “/tmp/_xinputrc:xim::0.0-root” not been found.

Solution: As I have start the im_chooser successfully and have used scim, so in the /tmp folder, there are some files like “scim_conf:xim::0.0-root”, of which content is shown as “4853”(4-digits ramdon number).You can copy one of these files and rename as “_xinputrc:xim::0.0-root”, and then you can start “im_chooser” successfully.
