XmlHttpRequest应用的收获和疑惑

今天关于XmlHttpRequest调用WebService有点小收获，
假设以下环境：

WebServiceURL:http://localhost/ServiceTest/ServiceAgent.asmx
WebServiceMethod:public string GetPublicSMSSearchInfo(string labelNumber, string ID)

按我的理解，如果用XmlHttpRequest调用Service的话应该是以下思路：
1.创建XmlHttpRequest;

2.设置头信息setRequestHeader("Content-Type","text/xml; charset=utf-8");

3.封装发送的信息为标准Soap包

4.进行异步调用。

但调试时失败，失败信息：

Text： System.InvalidOperationException: 请求格式无效: text/xml; charset=UTF-8。 在 System.Web.Services.Protocols.HttpServerProtocol.ReadParameters() 在 System.Web.Services.Protocols.WebServiceHandler.CoreProcessRequest()

反复仔细的查看代码，未果。

我只好在网页上直接访问Service调用其方法，同时用监视工具跟踪，发现：
请求的Content-type是"application/x-www-form-urlencoded",数据体也并不是标准Soap包，而是"labelNumber=10001110000000001001&ID=test"形式。

我试着把代码中的Content-type和数据体改成上述内容，我靠！成了...
