1，PeopleSoft产品和技术前景介绍

• PeopleSoft有完整的企业管理解决方案，产品线 包括FIN/CRM/SCM/HR/EPM/Portal等，其中最为行业称霸的则是它的 HR产品
• PeopleSoft被ORACLE高价收购后，融入了大量ORACLE的技术平台(如XMLP/Oracle AS/BEPL等)，并且针对HR应用进行了许多的中国本地化(包括Global Payroll for China),Peoplesoft HR作为其主推的 HR 产品和 功能发展方向
• PeopleSoft的技术平台即PeopleTools是一个支持跨平台的多层计算结构，它的 元数据驱动的程序开发模式可以最大效率地适应业务变更的需求。

2，PIA多层结构

• The PeopleSoft Internet Architecture(PIA) is a server-centric component architecture.是一个纯Internet架构，客户端只需要通过浏览器就可以 访问PeopleSoft应用。
• 服务器模型：

        ----Batch Server(Process Scheduler Server)

• The term batch server is equivalent to the term Process Scheduler server.
• PeopleSoft batch processes, such as COBOL and SQR, are scheduled and invoked by a Process Scheduler server.

从上面可以看出，PeopleSoft是4-tier四层架构，和传统的3层架构有区别

web server和app server不是直接通信，而是通过Jolt
