Ubuntu10.04在E6410上的安装问题及解决

对i915芯片的6410来说，最有些的办法由http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1527840提及：

The solution for me was to edit the GRUB boot entry (it should say something on startup about pressing e to edit an entry).

Options to try:

• Add "xforcevesa" to the kernel line
• Add "acpi=off" to the kernel line
• Add "noapic" to the kernel line
• Add "i915.modeset=0" or "i915.modeset=1" to the kernel line
• Add "nomodeset" to the kernel line
• Remove "splash" and "quiet" from the kernel line

The problem with this issue is that is has a wide range of root causes. From the sounds of your hardware (an intel graphics card) i would try adding "i915.modeset=0" or "i915.modeset=1" to your kernel boot line first. If that doesn't work try each of the options i listed above, or some combination of them.

Personally for me the solution was "xforcevesa" with a radeon graphics card, but i only had to do this for the install (first boot worked fine).

Also note you should be able to access GRUB by pressing F6 on boot, if it isn't shown by default.

我的解决方案： 和上述一致，在splash出来以后，按ESC键，按F6, 取消acpi, apic和nomodeset，再在grub命令行删除"quiet splash --"，加入xforcevesa，得以顺利进入安装界面安装。

安装完毕后，可以考虑替换kernel为 http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/v2.6.35.4-maverick/

可修改/boot/grub/grub.cfg，将quiet splash删除，加入xforcevesa acpi=off noapic nomodeset

一个bug，在Ubuntu中按电源键会直接断电。这是因为acpi=off造成的，将这个选项去除即可。

另一个bug，系统配置的Xconfig是一个非常简单的，导致触摸板不能滚动，显示器分辨率信息也没有显示，不能接投影机。

 

最终解决方案：安装成功后，在update manager中升到最新版本10.04.02LTS，kernel也相应进行了升级，可以去除vesa模式，系统将正常启动，Monitor信息也将正确显示。

PS. E6410安装Ubuntu9.10的系统，安装是正常能成功的，但不知怎么回事，进入Gnome后，很容易死机，突然之间鼠标及其他按键都不起作用了。
