Abstract：This paper researches the problem of capturing, composing, and displaying high-quality two-view stereo image in a fast way on a Android mobile terminal, and proposes a solution of using dual MIPI data interfaces and customizing a brand new Android Operating system. This solution is based on a Mobile CPU chip set hardware platform, where two MIPI data interfaces can be utilized to transfer real-time images data from two cameras, and can realize the stereo image processing function of synchronization, matching, and composing, by customizing the Android system libraries. The solution also includes: a stereo camera application on the Android application layer which is designed to preview, take stereo snapshots, and take stereo videos; a LCD monitor with front slit grating to accomplish two-view stereo image naked-eye display. Relevant tests indicate that the system proposed in this paper is capable of capturing, composing, and displaying two-view stereo image in a fast way, of bringing the user a convenient and high-quality stereo vision, and of much practicability.
