Hi Guys,
i try to make a connection over Transaction: DBCO to my external MySQL Database. We have a few tables which are service for our website.
We need to write/read to/from this external MySQL later with Native SQL in ABAP.
I read a lot about the other posts in SCN but no one helps my criterias, maybe because it's MySQL.
If i want to create an entry in DBCO i set something like this below
DB Conn.Name: MYS
DBMS: i choose ADA which stands for SAP MaxDB/LiveCache
Username: my db username
Password: my db user password
Connect. Info: Driver={MySQL ODBC 5.1 Driver};Server=myServerAddress;Database=myDataBase;
Port=3306;User=myUsername;Password=myPassword;Option=3;
Permanent: X -> checked
Conn.Limit: empty
Conn.Optimum: empty
The Connection Info String depends on the DB System its for MSSQL or Oracle different. I used it because i found it on this link http://www.connectionstrings.com/mysql/
The right connection String depends on your MySQL Driver. I choose ODBC 5.1. because i will install this driver on the machine on which is our SAP running.
For the DBMS field are also these options available:
ADA
SAP MaxDB/liveCache
DB2
DB2 UDB für OS/390
DB4
DB2 UDB für AS/400
DB6
DB2 UDB für Unix und Windows
INF
Informix
MSS
Microsoft SQL Server
ORA
Oracle
HDB
SAP HANA database
SYB
Sybase ASE
Nothing helped for now. Please give some advices. Thanks in advance.
