linux makeinfo rpm,在CentOS6 x86_64上编译安装gcc6.3.0

有些软件推荐使用新版的gcc，但在RH系列发行版的官方仓库中常常是找不到的，我们可以自己编译。

1、下载gcc 6.3.0源代码

版本选择，目前为止最新 release 是 2017-04-20 的7.1，说明仍然是“As of this time no releases of GCC 7 have yet been made.”，所以我们还是选择 6.3。

下载镜像

2、安装 gmp-devel、mpfr-devel、zip 以及它们的依赖

yum install gmp-devel mpfr-devel zip

3、安装 libmpc-devel

wget https://dl.fedoraproject.org/pub/epel/6/x86_64/libmpc-0.8-3.el6.x86_64.rpm

wget https://dl.fedoraproject.org/pub/epel/6/x86_64/libmpc-devel-0.8-3.el6.x86_64.rpm

yum install libmpc-devel-0.8-3.el6.x86_64.rpm libmpc-0.8-3.el6.x86_64.rpm

4、编译

./configure --disable-multilib --prefix=/opt/gcc-6.3.0

暂时只需要编译 64 位版本，所以使用参数 disable-multilib。

5、支持包的版本警告

上边提到的 gmp、mpfr、mpc，会有如下提示，暂时保持如此

checking for the correct version of gmp.h... buggy but acceptable

6、编译安装

make

make install

这个过程时间比较长，需要1-2小时甚至更多，请耐心等待。

一些问题

1、makeinfo 缺失警告

checking for modern makeinfo... no

configure: WARNING:

*** Makeinfo is missing or too old.

*** Info documentation will not be built.

它来自于包 texinfo，用来生成文档，缺少也不会对结果有什么影响。
