The silhouette’s upper offers flywire technology, while the sole incorporates Nike Lunarlon cushioning into it. Black dominates the design, with game royal blue breaking it up and making its way onto the tongue, Nike swoosh, and area towards the back-end. Make no mistake; Harrison Barnes has a long way to go live up to the promise and hype that he himself created when he arrived at the University of North Carolina a few years ago because he claimed it was the best thing for his “brand.” But at the very least, we can now let go of all of the talk that made him seem too polished and self-aware that caused people to focus more on his words than his game.
And for those who think a dunk like that is just another clip that will make the rounds on Youtube for a few days and be forgotten, ask the guy whose shoes Barnes was wearing last night if a few dunks like that can’t help one’s uh… “brand.” We all knew Derrick Rose was a great player prior to absolutely annihilating Goran Dragic, but it was after that dunk that people outside of Chicago really started to take notice.
