3.cost这个词在日常交流中用的还是比较多的，但你真的掌握了吗？
1）翻译两个短语：
at all cost(s), 不惜任何代价
You must stop the press from finding out at all cost.
你必须不惜一切代价阻止媒体查明真相。
at any cost，在任何情况下；无论如何
He is determined to win at any cost.
他决心无论如何要争取胜利。

2） 作为花费讲时，简单辨析：take, spend, cost
take用于it takes sb to do sth句型，仅指花费时间（three hours等），必须用it作形式主语
spend用于sb spend …on sth或者 sb spend…in doing sth (in可以省略), spend的主语必须是人，可以指花遇时间，也可以指花费金钱
cost用于sth costs sb sth，主语必须是物，多指花费金钱，少数情况可指花费时间、力气，有时表示成本的消耗，不能用于被动句
