I discovered that by holding the Power-On button for 4 seconds on the initial power up takes one into the F2, F7, F10, etc options and is then the only menu displayed on the screen. This allowed me to use the F10 option to boot from either a USB-CD drive or a USB-Jump drive. I was then able to install Linuxium's (by Ian Morrison) Ubuntu from a USB-CD drive to a USB-Jump drive utilizing a USB hub to attach these drives and the Logitech k400 Plus keyboard and touch-pad. Beware the keyboard attached to the Vivitar USB 2.0 Hub Man had some strange performances issues (eg. uncontrollable auto-repeat and large delays with dropped characters).

I am still experiencing LG USB-CD drive boot failure when using media like Gparted or WHS Restore CDs.
