1 操作系统安装

安装SUN Solaris 8操作系统一般采用串口通信这种方式，有如下方法可以实现串口通信。

(1) ???? 从终端上telnet上TC，然后选择相应的串口进入主机。

(2) ???? 直接用串口线连接终端和主机，利用类似于“超级终端”的软件进行通信。

对于终端类型，可以选择PC或 Sun的workstation，也选择其他类型的工作站，如HP的workstation。一般使用PC直接连接主机的console口(串口)进行安装。

步骤 1??????? 将Solaris 8的System Software 1 of 2光盘放入控制台的CD-ROM中，

步骤 2??????? 进入主机的OK状态

进入主机的OK状态有如下方法：

(1) ???? 如果工作站没安装过UNIX系统，就在控制台上按“Ctrl+]”，然后出现telnet>的提示符，再输入Send brk后敲回车键，进入Solaris的OK状态。

如果终端用的就是Sun的工作站，在系统启动时，键入Ctrl＋]可以直接进入OK状态。如果终端是PC，则系统有可能不接收Ctrl＋]，这时可以通过将PC登录到某台工作站上，然后在转登录到TC，即在连接过程中加入一台工作站，可以解决该问题。

(2) ???? 如果主机已经安装过系统，可以在系统正常模式下用root用户下键入init 0命令，系统也将进入Solaris的OK状态。

步骤 3??????? 通过光盘启动主机。
