SHOW PLUGINS returns the
following columns:
Name is the name used to refer to the
plugin in statements such as INSTALL
PLUGIN and UNINSTALL
PLUGIN.
Status indicates the plugin status, one
of ACTIVE, INACTIVE,
DISABLED, or DELETED.
Type indicates the type of plugin, such
as STORAGE ENGINE or
INFORMATION_SCHEMA.
Library is the name of the plugin shared
object file. This is the name used to refer to the plugin
file in statements such as INSTALL
PLUGIN and UNINSTALL
PLUGIN. This file is located in the directory
named by the plugin_dir
system variable. If the library name is
NULL, the plugin is compiled in and
cannot be uninstalled with UNINSTALL
PLUGIN.
Licensed indicates how the plugin is
licensed; for example, GPL.
For plugins installed with INSTALL
PLUGIN, the Name and
Library values are also registered in the
mysql.plugin table.
For information about plugin data structures that form the basis
of the information displayed by SHOW
PLUGINS, see Section 22.2, “The MySQL Plugin API”.
Plugin information is also available in the
INFORMATION_SCHEMA.PLUGINS table. See
Section 20.17, “The INFORMATION_SCHEMA PLUGINS Table”.
SHOW PLUGIN was added in MySQL 5.1.5 and
renamed to SHOW PLUGINS in 5.1.9.
SHOW PLUGIN is deprecated as of 5.1.9 and
generates a warning, and is removed in MySQL 5.5.)
