1 Import CAD geometry in BladeModeler, turbogrid
Objectives: Import blade geometry in TurboGrid from CAD e.g. IGES, Parasolid, Native CAD (CATIA, Pro/E, NX, …) Procedure: Create meridional plane (a flat surface) in ANSYS BladeModeler Define curves on meridional plane for specified span levels Intersect curves with blade surfaces Create points representing the blade profile Export points to ANSYS TurboGrid Note: Z-Axis must be rotational axis • Geometry must be located in the positive ZX Plane
