设计主要分成三大块：

技术层面（technical):讨论的是what什么

操作系统层面(operational)：讨论的是how怎么

组织层面(organizational)：讨论的是who谁


技术层面有：

服务器是什么牌子；what brand of server?

cpu是什么类型；what cpu type in servers?

存储是什么类型；what type of storage?

存储的质量；what type of storage?

网络的类型；what quantity of storage?

网络的配置是什么；what networking configuration?

额外的软件有；what additional software?


具体来说有：

环境需要都少台服务器；the number and type of servers in the environment

cpu的数量，型号，速度的选购；the number ,type,and speed of the cpus int servers

内存的大小；the amount of ram in the servers

到共享存储的连接类型；the type of connectivity to the shared storage

到共享存储的配置方法；the type of configuration of the shared storage

物理网口的可用；the number of physical NIC ports available

物理网口的型号；the manufacturer and model of the NICS in the servers

标准交换机和分布式交换机的额外配置；the exact configuration of the virtual switches(vswithces) and disributed vswithces in the environment

环境需要的电量；the amount of power required by the equipment

环境需要的加冷设备；the amount of cooling required by the equipment

设备需要的摆放空间的确定。the amount of rack space of floor space required by the equipment


组织层面有：

谁管理这个环境；who manages the environment

谁规定这个存储；who provisions storage

谁配置网络；who configures the network

谁负责备份；who's responsible for backup

谁来处理故障；who will handle troubleshooting

谁来给vm打补丁；who will patch vms

谁负责安全；who is responsible for security


操作系统层面有：

esix主机怎么被管理；how wil hosts be managed

vms怎么被创建；how will vms be created

备份怎么做；how will backups be made

存储怎么分配；how will storage be provisioned

新的vlan怎么被添加；how will new vlans be added

DR site失败了怎么办；how will i fail over to the DRS site

怎么确定问题；how will complicance be verified


设计的五大原则：

可用性；availability

可管理性；manageability

性能好；performance

可恢复性；recoverability(RPO;RTO)

安全行；security
