1、下载phpMyAdmin-2.11.10-all-languages.tar.gz包，解压后并将其移至某目录下，这里选择为/usr/local/

# tar zxvf phpMyAdmin-2.11.10-all-languages.tar.gz
# mv phpMyAdmin-2.11.10-all-languages /usr/local/phpmyadmin
# cd /usr/local/phpmyadmin
# cp config.sample.inc.php config.inc.php

2、phpmyadmin需要用要php-mcrypt包，此包依赖于libmcrypt，因此需要事先安装这两个rpm包。
yum install -y libmcrypt
yum install -y php-mcrypt

3、phpmyadmin也需要用php-mbstring，从安装光盘上找到安装即可。如果事先已经配置好了yum repository，也可以使用如下命令
安装

yum install -y php-mbstring

4、为phpmyadmin准备一个基本的配置文件，这可以通过复制其自带的sample文件实现：

# cd /usr/local/phpmyadmin
# cp config.sample.inc.php config.inc.php

5、编辑此配置文件，为其指定访问密码：

# vim config.inc.php
找到如下行，
$cfg['blowfish_secret'] = '';
在引号中为其指定密码即可。(注：最好只添加字母和数字，不要添加符号，以免引起歧义)
//如果认证方法设置为cookie，就需要设置短语密码，置于设置为什么密码，由您自己决定，但是不能留空，否则会在登录
phpmyadmin时提示错误
解决方法如下：
①到phpmyadmin文件夹的\libraries\config.default.php文件中找：$cfg['Servers'][$i]['extension']='mysql';语句。
②如果有找到$cfg['Servers'][$i]['extension']='mysql';这句，就继续查找下面这句$cfg['Servers'][$i]['extension']
='mysqli'; 并把其的注释去掉。
③如果没有找到$cfg['Servers'][$i]['extension']='mysql';这句，就把$cfg['Servers'][$i]['extension']='mysqli';语句，改
成$cfg['Servers'][$i]['extension']='mysql'; 语句。（即确保 " mysql " 值能生效）
