如果你的linux设置了保存用户密码历史纪录，那么，当你的密码过期以后，再想改为原来的密码，系统会提示你该密码之前使用过，请使用其他密码，如下：

HostnameA:~ # passwd   a
Changing password for a.
New UNIX password:
Retype new UNIX password:
Password has been already used. Choose another.
passwd: Authentication token manipulation error
HostnameA:~ #
 

但是你还是想用该密码，怎么办呢，没关系，只要删掉"/etc/security/opasswd"该用户纪录即可
