致 力于将kernel.org 恢复到统一状态的开发者们已经发出了一份简明的状态更新；该更新主要是关于git 树的管理。“这一新基础设施将不再拥有对git 软件库的shell访问权；取而代之地，我们将通过使用gitolite web glue来运行git。Gitolite 通过使用SSH密钥进入git。为因，我们将开始向之前拥有kernel.org帐号的开发者们发放新的SSH证书。”Git树在近期内将恢复上线；其他 事情将在接下来的时间里进行。

The developers working on putting kernel.org back together have sent out abrief status update, mostly about the management of git trees. "This new infrastructure will nolonger have shell access to the git repositories; instead we will berunning git using the gitolite web glue.Gitolite uses ssh keys to push into it, so we will start sending out newssh credentials to the active developers who had kernel.org accountsbefore." Git trees should go back online in the near future;everything else will take longer.
