Size of Great Wall

The Great Wall of China is more than three stories tall in some places. Archaeologists are learning that the wall is bigger than once thought. They now believe it is more than 5,500 miles long.In Chinese history, mainly 3 dynasties built the great wall in large scale: Qin dynasty, Han dynasty and Ming dynasty. Qin dynasty is the first dynasty of China, and emperor Qin Shihuang, is the first emperor of China. He built the first China Great Wall which was 5,000 kilometers long. Great Wall in Han dynasty was the longest which reached 10,000 kilometers. Ming dynasty Great Wall is about 6,000 kilometers. Most of the walls we see today are Ming Great Walls.

History of Great Wall

The first great wall was created by Qin shi huang in qin dynasty. In the past 2000 years each Gov will repair it and build more long and strong.The wall was originally seven walls made by seven kingdoms.
