Linux Journal has a review of Tiny Core Linux. "Several projects exist that purport to be small, run-in-memory distributions. The most popular probably is Puppy Linux. Puppy has spawned several variations, and I have used it several times myself on older machines. But, I have discovered one that bowled me over completely-Tiny Core Linux. This distribution is a totally different beast and fills what I think is as of yet an unfilled category."

Linux杂志：“以体型微小和可直接在内存上运行为目的的Linux发行目前存在于几个项目当中。其中最流行的，当属Puppy Linux。Puppy已经孵化出了几个变种发行，我曾在旧电脑上亲身试用过。但是，微核Linux（Tiny Core Linux）这款发行完全令我震惊。该发行与其他发行完全不一样，感觉里面有着能孕育出大量新的、不为人知的应用的可能。”
