Not for a pfile startup.

If the database was started with an spfile you can see it with 'show parameter spfile'.  But a pfile can come from a remote client.  Given that fact, my guess is that if sqlplus is told to start the database with a pfile (remember, 'startup' is a sqlplus command) that sqlplus is then responsible for reading that control file and feeding the information to the instance as part of the startup.  Even if that guess is factually incorrect, it remains true that a pfile is considered a client-side file and the database has no knowledge of it.

Can we check the value of hidden init parameters by using "show parameters" command?
