Abstract：In view of the characteristics of Brushless Electrically Excited Synchronous Generator (BEESG) , which air-gap magnetic field harmonic content of the generator is relatively abundant. The iron loss calculation models of BEESG is established, which considering harmonic magnetic density, alternating magnetization and rotation magnetization. The fitting curve of iron loss coefficient is determined by using Matlab tool. The iron loss of a 11kW BEESG is analyzed and calculated by the finite element method (FEM). The iron loss curve of the generator is obtained.
