Abstract: The basic principle of i une genetic algorith (IGA) is outlined. A ethod to realize the

echanis s which exists in biological i une syste such as antigen e ory, antibody encourage ent

and restraint, antibody diversity-keeping in MATLAB is discussed. An opti al design proble of an in-

telligent electro agnetic deviceis taken as an exa pleto de onstrate thefeasibility inMATLAB and the

advantages of IGA over standard genetic algorith (SGA) .
