APA是American Psychological Association的缩写，它是美国心理学会制定的一套论文撰写的格式，包括文献的文中引用(in-text citations)，参考文献列表(reference list)的撰写标准，以及首页、摘要、表格、图表、注脚和附录的编辑方式。目前最新的APA格式是2019年10月的第7版(可在官网查阅 https://apastyle.apa.org/)。今天先分享in-text citations的内容。

在in-text citations中，通常有两种呈现方式：Parenthetical citation(括号中引用)和Narrative citation(叙述性引用)。

这两种方式都包含有作者的姓氏和出版年份。如下每个例子中都有第一个Parenthetical citation和第二个Narrative citation。 

One author：

An earlier study in which X and Y were compared revealed that …  (Smith, 2017) . Smith (2017)  shows how, in the past, research into X was mainly concerned with … Two authors： Research shows that there is a great need for …  (Reynolds & Thomas, 2014) . Reynolds and Thomas (2014)  write that there is a great need for … Three or more authors: Recent research suggests that there is …  (Thomas et al., 2014) . Thomas et al. (2014)  argue that … Multiple sources in one citation： Various studies show that … ( Docker & Vagrant, 2002 ;  Porter, 1997 ;  Lima, Swan, & Corrieri, 2012 ). 以上列出的都是比较常用的，但也会有一些偶尔用到的格式，比如书中某章节的引用，姓氏相同的作者等的引用方法，可见下图查阅。(Available from https://aut.ac.nz.libguides.com/APA7th/in-text )

我们通过Paraphrase(改写)原句，一般不需要在in-text citations中提供页码或段落号，上面的例子就是这样。但当你直接引用或转述一个来源的特定部分时，你的文中引用可以包括作者、年份和关于这个特定部分的信息。可能是：a page number, page range, paragraph number, section number, table or figure number, or chapter number.
