Abstract：Tropospheric scatter communication has a long hop distance,strong confidentiality, and strong resistance to environmental interference, and has import application in military communications. In order to design a reliable and efficient communication system, the actual channel needs to be fully measured and analyzed, and then the system-level simulation evaluation. The channel model is exactly what is needed for system level simulation. Based on the improved Jakes model, the system architecture of the channel is designed and implemented on the FPGA, which is compatible with the existing communication system, and finally performs system-level simulation. This paper focuses on the basic principles of channel model design, and proposes an improved scheme for the multipath signal model from the practical point of view. The channel parameters are set by the PC software, and a channel model with higher degree of freedom is finally designed.
