英语短语

  1. Off the top of one’s head
    • 中文解释:字面上是指听到一个问题时,第一时间出现的看法或想法,虽未经深思熟虑,但这种猜测一般来说是正确的,其误差不大。
    • 英文解释:Without careful thought or investigation
    • 例句:"How much is the house worth?" "Off the top of my head, I'd say it's worth maybe $160,000."
  2. Give someone a heads up
    1. 中文解释:注意,事先提醒
    2. 英文解释:To tell someone that something is going to happen
    3. 例句:Please give me a heads-up when you arrive.
  3. Join/connect the dots
    1. 中文解释:把…联系起来
    2. 英文解释:To make connections between people or events that seem not to be connected so that you can understand what is happening.

  6. Consolidate
    1. Definition: the action or process of combining a number of things into a single more effective or coherent whole.
    2. Example: Consolidate all the data into one single warehouse.to delivery the analysis requests.
  7. steering committee
    1. Definition: A steering committee is an advisory body that’s part of IT—or other—governance. Members include experts, authority figures, and senior stakeholders in a project or organization. As a result, they have a significant stake in how each project is managed. Thus, key concerns for steering committees are the direction, scope, budget, timeliness, and methods used. Steering committees generally meet periodically to discuss each of these aspects and help set, or reset, direction.
