Week 9

Summary of week’s activities:

1.Change the used text file of OUI and Vendors into the nearest file released by IEEE .
2.Find out which kind of wifi frame can be used to identify the type of devices.
3.Got the packets in Linux system by the tcpdump tools.

Problems, Issues and concerns:

1.It was not convenient for the tcpdump tools to analysis the packets.
2.A software which aims at analyzing the packets should be chosen and installed in the Linux system.

Tasks for next week:

1.Installed a appropriate software to analysis the packets.
2.Analyze the management frame, frame control and data frame, especially the probe request and probe response frame
