可以看到系统有提示 out of memory

free -m

可以看到 memory基本被吃光了

原来是我的VMware分配的内存太少啦， 而编译project要消耗更多硬件性能

关掉系统，设定到 4G 内存，果然可以了

This means GCC ran out of memory.

Hmm, yeah, increasing the memory a bit (4GB -> 5GB) leads to a successful compile.
I guess it is expected that newer versions use more memory – more features, etc.
