1.    InstallVMWare

2.    Install Ubuntu10.04

3.    Log in Linux,open the terminal

4.    Install git: 

$ sudo apt-get install git-core

5.    Installcurl: 

$ sudo apt-get install git-core curl

6.   Install repo

    a.    Make sure you have a bin/ directory and add the repodirectory to your path: 

$ mkdir ~/bin
$ PATH=~/bin:$PATH

    b.    Download the repo tool:

$ curl https://dl-ssl.google.com/dl/googlesource/git-repo/repo > ~/bin/repo

    c.    Make the repo tool executable:

$ chmod a+x ~/bin/repo

7.   Initializing a Repo client

    a.    Create an empty directory to hold your working files:

$ mkdir ~/android
$ cd ~/android

    b.    bring down the latest version of Repo

$ repo init -u https://android.googlesource.com/platform/manifest

8.   Downloading the Android Source Tree

$ repo sync
