Application Solution Development
The customization process is applied in the Application Solution Development module of the
System RVP work stream.
Application Solution Development:
1. is based on custom components identified by the System Description Document
2. follows the strategy to integrate individual components into a system
Engineer Component
Inside the Application Solution Development module is the element “Engineer Component”. This
is the actual implementation of a component.
Engineer Component process:
• Work in development root outside the Windchill load point
• Model extensions, if not already performed by a Solution Architect
• Generate artifacts from modeling
• Develop Java programs
• Create Info*Engine tasks
• Edit JSP pages
• Edit or create Template Processor templates
• Customize UI, actions and menus
• Edit resource bundles in wtCustom
• Edit properties
• Build and perform unit tests
