Setting up Pinax development environment on Eclipse.

1. Install Pinax

 

virtualenv is needed before install Pinax.

download pinax, unpack it, install by:

C:/> python scripts/pinax-boot.py /Users/pydev/pinax

pinax will be installed to C:/Users/pydev/pinax

 

activate it.

/Users/pydev/pinax/Scripts/activate.bat

 

create project:

pinax-admin clone_project basic_project demo



cd demo

python manage.py syncdb





open eclipse:



new Pydev project 

project name: demo

Interpreter configure:

Interpreter Executable:  C:/Users/pydev/pinax/Scripts/python.exe



configure run diagloge:



run it you'll see error:

no such table:django_session



edit settings.py

change DATABASE_NAME= 'dev.db'

to  DATABASE_NAME= 'C:/Users/pydev/proj/hello/dev.db' 



then you're ready to go.
