introduction
Analysis and discuss the grid resource monitoring model based on mobile Agent. In this model , several advantages can beachieved ,such as a reduction of network traffic of a reduction of dependency of network availability. Put forward the idea which combine the grid technologies with mobile agent technologies ,it provide a new way to develop grid technologies.
This paper proposes a mobile-agent-based grid monitor architecture that
that benefits remote computer users who wish to mutually
offer their desktop computing resource to other Internet
group members while their computers are not being used.
Key to this resource exchange grid is the use of mobile
agents. Each agent represents a client user, carries his/her
job requests, searches for resources available for the request,
executes the job at suitable computers, and migrates
it to others when the current ones have become unavailable
for use. All the features of job migration will be encapsulated
in a user program wrapper that is implemented on a
Java layer between a mobile agent and the corresponding
user program. The wrapper maintains the complete execution
state of the user program, is carried by the mobile
agent upon a job migration, and restores its user program at
its destination. For this purpose, a user program is preprocessed
with JavaCC and ANTLR to include check-pointing
functions before its execution. These functions periodically
save the execution state of a user program into its corresponding
program wrapper, which can thus be carried by
an agent smoothly.
Grid systems are becoming the underlying infrastructure
for many high-performance distributed scient$c applications.
Resources in these systems have heterogeneous
features, are connected by potentially unreliable networks,
and are often under different administrative management
domains. These remarks show how a new generation of
techniques, mechanisms and tools need to be considered,
that can cope with the conzplexity of such systems and provide
the performances suitable for scienti$c computing applications.
In this pupec an architecture for monitoring
services in Grid environments based on mobile agent technology
is presented. One of the most interesting aspects
of the proposed approach is the possibiliv of customizing
the paranieters to be monitored. After describing the general
framework where agents will execute, an application
for improving the capabilities of traditional tietwork nionitoring
paradigms will be presented. In this paper
Computational and Data Grids consist of the coordinated utilization of large sets of diverse, geographically distributed resources for high performance computation. In order to make better use of these computing entities, a substantial amount of monitoring data is collected for a variety of tasks. The large number of heterogeneous resources available in Grids makes the task challenging.
In this paper, a new architecture for monitoring resourses in grid environment based on mobile agent technology is presented . One of the most interested aspects of the proposed approach is customizing the parameters to be monitored . After describing the general architecture based on which a grid monitor system can be implemented , a mobile agent platform based on SOAP, by which any mobile agents can move on diverse, geographically distributed computers without beening restricted by firewall ,will be presented.
INTRODUCTION
The increasing adoption of Grid environments as integrating infrastructures for distributed high-performance scienfific applications, requires the use of sophisticated monitoring techniques.Monitoring facilities are indeed needed in Grid environments for several activities such as performance analysis, performance tuning, scheduling strategies, fault detection, QoS application adaptation.
