1. Definition of Motifs
2. Usage & example of Motifs
3. Motifs is a induced subgraph of a graph
4. motifs is recurring and can be overlapped
5. Motif is more frequent than in randomly generated network
6. how to calculate the significance of a Motif (z-scores)
7. ways of generating random graph

7.2 Switching
8 Recap: how to detect a Motif
9 Graphlets
Graphlets is the extension of network Motifs. Motifs is used to characterize the entire network, i.e. what is the network made of, while graphlets is used to characterize the network structure around given node, i.e. how dose the neighborhood around the node look like.
10 Definition of Graphlet
It obtain a node-level subgraph metric, and the other way you can think about it is that it counts number of graphlets that a node touches(GDV)
