3.11 item1 : AP mode |
1. Keep DUT WAN port connect to internet. |
2. Prepare 2 wireless client. |
3. Click on "General Setup" -> "Wireless" -> "Basic Settings" |
4. Select "Access Point" in the Mode Dropdown list. -> Click on "Apply" -> "Apply" to reboot DUT |
5. Two wireless clients will survey DUT's SSID and connect to it. |
6. Verify 2 wireless clients can ping each other successfully. |
7. Verify 2 wireless clients can connect to internet through DUT. |
8. Click on " Show Active Clients " in the Associated Clients |
9. Verify the pop-up "Active Wireless Client Table" panel |
10. Verify the table displays client's AID, MAC address, 802.11 PhyMode, Power Save and BandWidth information. |
| 3.11 item2 : Station-Infrastructure |
1. Prepare one router and the model different to DUT. |
2. In Router, Set router is DHCP server connect to internet and the router IP addressing scheme different to DUT. |
EX:DUT IP server range is 192.168.2.100 to 192.168.2.200 |
Router IP server range is 10.30.40.100 to 10.30.40.200 |
3. In DUT, Click on "General Setup" -> "Wireless" -> "Basic Settings" |
Select Station(infrastructure) in the Mode. |
Click on "Site Survey" to select the router -> Click on "Apply" -> "Apply" |
Disable DHCP server in DUT. |
4. Connect Client's Ethernet network card to DUT's lan port by wired. |
Input "ipconfig /release" in the DOS command mode |
Input "ipconfig /renew" in the DOS command mode |
Verify Client's ethernet network card gets an IP address like as 10.30.40.100 from the router through DUT. |
| 3.11 item3 : AP bridge mode (point to point) |
1. Prepare 2 the same DUT(SSID is DUT1,DUT2). |
2. Connect DUT1 to internet and configure DUT1 as below. |
Set wireless mode to AP Bridge (point to point), wireless band to 2.4 GHz(B+G+N), channel number to 1, security to disable, 20 MHz channel width. |
Input DUT2's MAC address in MAC address 1 column . |
3. Disable DUT2 DHCP server. |
4. In DUT2, Configure DUT2 settings the same as DUT1. (AP Bridge- Point to Point, 2.4 GHz(B+G+N), channel 1, 20 MHZ) |
Input DUT1's MAC address in MAC address 1 column . |
5. Verify DUT2 can connet to internet through DUT1. |
6. The other wireless client can not find both. |
7. Repeat step1) to step6), but change encryption to WEP. |
8. Repeat step1) to step6), but change encryption to WPA-PSK/TKIP. |
9. Repeat step1) to step6), but change encryption to WPA2-PSK/AES. |
3.11 item4 : AP bridge mode (point to multi-point) |
1. Prepare 2 the same DUT(SSID is DUT1,DUT2). |
2. Connect DUT1 to internet and configure DUT1 as below. |
Set wireless mode to AP Bridge-Point to Multi-Point, wireless band to 2.4 GHz(B+G+N), channel number to 1, security to disable, 20 MHz channel width. |
Input DUT2's MAC address in MAC address 1 column . |
3. Disable DUT2 DHCP server. |
4. In DUT2, Configure DUT2 settings the same as DUT1. (AP Bridge-Point to Multi-Point, 2.4 GHz(B+G+N), channel 1, 20 MHZ) |
Input DUT1's MAC address in MAC address 1 column . |
5. Verify DUT2 can connet to internet through DUT1. |
6. Wireless client can not find two DUT. |
7. Repeat step1) to step6), but change encryption to WEP. |
8. Repeat step1) to step6), but change encryption to WPA-PSK/TKIP. |
9. Repeat step1) to step6), but change encryption to WPA2-PSK/AES. |
10. Repeat above all nine steps, test other fill location of MAC address likes as MAC Address2, MAC Address3 and MAC Address4 to make sure that all MAC address columns are worked . |
3.11 item5 : AP bridge mode (WDS) |
1. Prepare 2 the same DUT(SSID is DUT1,DUT2). |
2. Connect DUT1 to internet and configure DUT1 as below. |
Set wireless mode to AP Bridge-WDS, wireless band to 2.4 GHz(B+G+N), channel number to 1, security to disable, 20 MHz channel width. |
Input DUT2's MAC address in MAC address 1 column . |
3. Disable DUT2 DHCP server. |
4. In DUT2, Configure DUT2 settings the same as DUT1. (AP Bridge-WDS, 2.4 GHz(B+G+N), channel 1, 20 MHZ) |
Input DUT1's MAC address in MAC address 1 column . |
5. Verify DUT2 can connet to internet through DUT1. |
6. Wireless client find two DUT and connect to DUT2 will get IP from DUT1 to connect to internet. |
7. Repeat step1) to step6), but change encryption to WEP. |
8. Repeat step1) to step6), but change encryption to WPA-PSK/TKIP. |
9. Repeat step1) to step6), but change encryption to WPA2-PSK/AES. |
10. Repeat above all nine steps, test other fill location of MAC address likes as MAC Address2, MAC Address3 and MAC Address4 to make sure that all MAC address columns are worked . |

3. Set DUT LAN IP address within router DHCP IP addressing scheme. |
yioDisable DUT's DHCP server. |
4. In DUT Web GUI, Click on "General Setup" -> "Wireless" |
Select "Universal Repeater" in the mode dropdown lsit. |
Click on "Site Survey" to select the router. |
Set DUT wireless channel number the same as the router wireless channel number. |
Set DUT wireless band same as the router wireless band. |
Click on "Apply" to reboot DUT |
5. Verify Wireless client can survey DUT and connect to it. |
Verify Wireless client gets an IP address from the router through DUT. |
Verify Wireless client connects to internet through DUT and the router. |
6. Ethernet network card connect to DUT by wired. |
Wired client gets an IP address from the router through DUT. |
Wired client connect to internet through DUT and the router. |
7. Repeat step1) to step6), but change encryption to WEP. |
8. Repeat step1) to step6), but change encryption to WPA-PSK/TKIP. |
