2022/11.28~11.29 Building and maintenance FALMA

In two very fulfilling days, we went to 6 sites in total. A new site was built, and 5 sites were inspected and maintained. The whole process went very smoothly. Except that the hard disk was not replaced at the seaside site.

We gathered at the Faculty of Engineering at 8.45 in the morning, took all the tools and equipment, and set off. Due to the long distance, we had lunch on the way. After lunch, we arrived at Kurobe City Hall, Toyama Prefecture. After negotiating with the staff of the city government, the staff took us to the roof. We also started our website building work.In addition, on the way to the city hall, we saw very beautiful snow-capped mountains, as shown in the picture below.

 The work on the new site was the same as last time. We were assigned a corner location and put boxes inside to prevent being blown away by strong winds. Everything was working fine, it took some time to find where the grounding point was, the level of noise was always unsatisfactory. I connected the ground wire together with my Japanese classmates, fixed the long pole of the antenna, and worked hard to find a good grounding point. Finally the job was done quickly. After the new site was built, we went to the next site for maintenance. From the site, you can see the snow-capped mountains in the distance, see the picture below.The picture below is the antenna.

The problem with the site was that the power cord was cut so that the site never worked properly. We found out which two devices had lost power by taking the phone charger. Finally, the professor connected the two wires together. Wrap a lot of insulating glue, because it is 110v. The picture below is the professor being wired.

 

 Then we discovered a new problem. The working status of the equipment was still problematic. With the rich experience of the professor, we found that there was a problem with the host of the computer, so we replaced the host and the equipment began to operate normally. After finishing today's work, it's getting late and the sky can't be seen, so we went to find a place to eat. In addition, attach a photo of the snow-capped mountains. We came to a ramen restaurant, and I ate ramen and dumplings.

 

After dinner, we headed to the hotel where we will be staying today. The price is very cheap and the environment is very nice, you can see the sea from the room. The location is in Ishikawa County, called Xiongdenghedian a-1. We had a good night's rest in the hotel and had a buffet breakfast at the hotel in the morning. The picture below is the breakfast I ate. It tastes very good. My Japanese classmate asked me in surprise, do I not eat rice or bread in the morning? I replied yes, we rarely eat rice in the morning. I see rice in almost every Japanese. The picture below is what I had for breakfast. Of course I can't get enough of these, I ate double.

 After breakfast, we went to the seaside station, the picture below is the seaside station, but unfortunately we did not bring the key, so we did not open the box and replace the hard disk inside.

 Then we came to the beach, the longest bench in the world, where I also touched the Sea of Japan for the first time with my own hands. Looking at its rough waves, I seem to feel what this sea has experienced.

Then we went to Nanao City, Ishikawa Prefecture, to replace the hard drive.

Then we drove to the next site, which was also on the roof, but I didn't go up, and I prepared the tools they needed for them below. The image below is a photo of them working on it.

Finally we went 石川県志賀町風戸公民館。As it was inconvenient to go up to the roof, only the professor went up, and we waited for him below. Since the GPS was broken, a new GPS was replaced.The picture below is a photo taken by the professor on the roof.

So far, we have finished all the work of these two days, so we set foot on the way back. It rained heavily on the way back. The professor drove steadily, and we finally arrived at the school safely.
