In order to open word document in stead of text file:
1. Add COM reference: "Microsoft Word 11.0 Object Library" and "Microsoft Office 11.0 object Library" (I'm not sure which one is necessary yet.)
2. Using Word= Microsoft.Office.Interop.Word
3. Add code:
Word.ApplicationClass wordApp=new ApplicationClass();
object file=path;
object nullobj=System.Reflection.Missing.Value;
Word.Document doc = wordApp.Documents.Open(
ref file, ref nullobj, ref nullobj,
ref nullobj, ref nullobj, ref nullobj,
ref nullobj, ref nullobj, ref nullobj,
ref nullobj, ref nullobj, ref nullobj);
//doc.ActiveWindow.Selection.WholeStory();
//doc.ActiveWindow.Selection.Copy();
//IDataObject data=Clipboard.GetDataObject();
//txtFileContent.Text=data.GetData(DataFormats.Text).ToString();
string doc_content=doc.Content.Text;
doc.Close(ref nullobj,ref nullobj, ref nullobj);
wordApp.Quit(ref nullobj,ref nullobj, ref nullobj);
4. Debug, if there is an error "The type r namespace name "Interop" does not exist n the namespace 'Microsoft.Office' (are missing an assembly reference?)"
Probably because you haven't installed ".Net programmablity Support".
Please ask for help from the article which is from "http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa159923(office.11).aspx".
It is very helpful to solve this problem. Especally the parts "Getting the Office 2003 PIAs When Installing .NET Framework 1.1 After Installing Office 2003" and "Verifying References to the Office 2003 PIAs"
