synopsis
this article display how to make normal user have root privilege in ubuntu24.04
there are two methods
method 1 : add normal user to sudo group
1.create one normal user
sudo adduser xxx
now this user is only normal user, can't run sudo command
2.add this user to sudo group
sudo usermod -aG sudo xxx
3.achievement display
now this user have root privilege,can run sudo command
4.remove this user from sudo group
sudo usermod -G group1,group2 xxx
attention: group list don't include sudo group
method 2 : add one line in sudoers file
1.create one normal user
sudo adduser xxx
now this user is only normal user,can't run sudo command
2.add one line in sudoers file
sudo cat /etc/sudoers
sudo visudo
this command is little difference to vi
you can press Ctrl+x to exit
then press y to save
at last press Enter to finish
sudo cat /etc/sudoers
3.achievement display
4.delete the new line in sudoers file
sudo visudo
use Backspace key to delete previous letter,util you delete the new line
press Ctrl+x to exit
press y to save
press Enter key to finish
when above operation is finished,you can't view sudoers file by this user.Because sudoers file don't include this user now.
You can view sudoers file by switch other user who have root privilege
