Flu patient pretender detained in NE China

A man was detained in northeast in Liaoning Province for pretending to be A(H1N1) patient.

The man,surnamed Li,will be detained for 10 days for “lying about a serious epidemic situation”,according to police..A migrant worker from..,Li felt ill …,but did not seek medical attention because of the fear of how much treatment would cost.

After watching TV,he learned about the A(H1N1) epidemic and thought he would have his illness cured for free if he said he was infected. According to Li’s confession,he drank alcohol before calling an ambulance with this mobile phone.He claimed he had A.Doctors,however,failed to find him at the address he provided and police were put on high alert.

Li was found Friday and diagnosed with an ordinary strain of the flu..

 

Super Girl sings her way to Oprah show

Jane Zhang ended up as second runner-up in Super Girls’05 but the start singer has gone one up on the winner by appearing on Oprah Winfrey’s show.

      Jane Zhang represented China and appeared in person,unlike Briton Susan who was beamed via satellite from her Scotland home.The Chinese was unware of the power and stature of ….,thinking it was just another television appearance.”So I did not feel much pressure”said Zhang.She loved singing English songs ,she covered those they’re familiar with.”I did not major in the language,but rather picked it up with sudied nonchalance, winking at one time.

      Now that she has been hugged and blessed by Oprah,Zhang is receiving an overwhelming amount of attention,including offers from ….Her contract with entertainment giant Huayi expires soon,but she would not give up her career in China to sail for the US.

      She understands the difficulty of launching a career in that competitive market.

Oprah may be highlighting the success of breakout talents worldwide,but what she called”Super Voice Girl “may be dying out.

      You might as well sing in shower ,or karaoke,for that matter.Nowadays there are so many karaoke shows on Chinese TV you may sooner catch….
