Error: conversion to dalvik format failed with error 1

If you came across the following error message in android project:

"conversion to dalvik format failed with error 1"

please check your project property:

Java Build Path->Libraries

make sure you didn't manually include the android.jar

 

You can remove it add this entry below into the .classpath file.

 

<classpathentry kind="con" path="org.eclipse.jdt.launching.JRE_CONTAINER"/>

 

It will add the reference to android library. And then rebuild.
