最新的非最好，Netbeans 6.7 暂不支持SOA

软件规模越来越大，多个项目协同才能构成一个产品，最新的最好再次被证明只是一个传说。Linux的发布是这样，IDE的发布也是这样。安装了Netbeans 6.7.1为了腾出空间将6.5.1卸载了，结果发现很多东西不见了。

最近在研究WS-BPEL，在Netbeans 6.7.1的发布中，SOA没有了，在插件安装中找到了SOA插件，处于Beta状态。装上插件后将程序往Glassfish 2.1上部署，结果发现随6.7发布的Glassfish 2.1竟然将SOA相关的esb engine, bpel engine等JBI模块一并移除了，虽然都是Glassfish 2.1（和随netbeans 6.5.1一起发布的 Glassfhish是同一个版本）但这个新的是一个残废版本，实在没有想到Sun在这个问题上会有这样的前向不兼容。

如果你需要在netbeans上开发SOA应用，没有办法，继续留在6.5.1上吧。

With each NetBeans release, modules are moved to/from the standard
distribution and to/from the Update Centers. For the NetBeans IDE 6.7
release, we want to call out specific functionality that has been moved
out of the standard distribution to the Update Centers: SOA, UML, and
Visual Web. We want you to understand the ramifications of these
changes. First, you will not see this functionality in your IDE by
default, if you want it, you will have to use the IDE’s Plugin Manager
and install modules from the Update Centers (Tools > Plugins). Also,
modules on the Update Centers have different quality criteria than what
is in the standard distribution. For details, visit

Here is the state of each specific area:
The SOA module has been removed from the standard distribution for
NetBeans IDE 6.7, BUT it is under active development for the next
NetBeans release, scheduled for Fall 2009.
The UML module has been removed from the standard distribution. For
NetBeans IDE 6.7, there are no new features. For enterprise-class UML
support, we recommend SDE for NetBeans by Visual Paradigm
<http://www.visual-paradigm.com/news/nb65/>.
The Visual Web modules have been removed from the standard distribution,
along with the Woodstock components. These modules have been released to
the community for support and future development. To get the Visual Web
functionality, install the Visual JSF and Visual JSF Runtime modules
from the Update Center. The NetBeans IDE still supports web development
with JSF and JSPs. To go beyond the standard JSF Components, we
recommend you use the ICEfaces plugin
