题目

Design a Tic-tac-toe game that is played between two players on a n x n grid.

You may assume the following rules:

  1. A move is guaranteed to be valid and is placed on an empty block.
  2. Once a winning condition is reached, no more moves is allowed.
  3. A player who succeeds in placing n of their marks in a horizontal, vertical, or diagonal row wins the game.

Example:

Given n = 3, assume that player 1 is "X" and player 2 is "O" in the board.

TicTacToe toe = new TicTacToe(3);

toe.move(0, 0, 1); -> Returns 0 (no one wins)

思路

这道题目的思路没有什么特别奇怪的。只是我开始用了二维数组来表示棋盘,这样空间复杂度就成为O(n^2),move函数的时间复杂度是O(n)。后来发现一种更高效的实现方法:用两个数组和两个整数表示一个player目前达到的状态。这样空间复杂度就可以降低到O(n),而move的时间复杂度竟然可以降低到O(1)。

这种面试题到处都是坑啊!最优算法往往未必就能一下子想到。
