5th :: Emerging Best Practices and Patterns - Not long ago, there were no real patterns and practices around AJAX development.  Thankfully, due to the intense popularity AJAX has gained, some work has been done in this area, notably on http://ajaxpatterns.org/ and a few books, but this area of P&P is still young.  And with 70+ patterns, even the patterns, much less the technology, are a lot to learn and keep up with.
