The programs here are for people who like SAS, geography and geographic information science. Most of this stuff isn't purely statistical, but more operational. I happen to believe that SAS & spatial problems are a great fit, especially for prototyping crazy ideas. SAS is a very flexible language that allows high-level or low-level programming concepts.
Although SAS/GIS has some cartographic and analytical capabilities, some of the programs here offer tools that come standard in pure GIS environments. I have buckets of this SAS/GIS code writen for various purposes, it's just a matter of finding it, and cleaning it up for more general use. I will also be posting experiments in cellular automata and epidemiology.
