1. 自我介绍 (Self-Introduction)

Good morning(afternoon), dear professors. I am very glad to be here for this interview. I hope I can make a good performance today. Now let me introduce myself. My name is Zhangyang. I was born in Shandong province in 1986.Now I am a senior student from East China Jiaotong University(ECJTU) and major in Software Engineering .I hope I could get this opportunity to finish my postgraduate study at Huazhou University of Science and Technology(HUST) which I have desired for a long time.

Just like my Chinese name, I have a strong personality. In other words, I am an extroverted boy with great passion.Generally speaking, I am a hard-working and persistent student, my motto is “I persist until I succeed”. At the same time, I am a young man who is responsible ， ambitious as well as optimistic.

I’m looking forward to my postgraduate study and life at HUST. I will strive to make use of such a valuable opportunity to be admitted(enrolled)by HUST. I’m confident that I can survive.

Hobby

Well, in my spare time, I like reading autobiography and listening to music. In terms of sports, I’m fond of badminton and table tennis. As to PC games, I prefer to Chinese Chess.

2. 我的家庭 (My Family)

There are five members in my family. They are my parents, two elder sisters and I. My father is a technician in Hebei Province, who rarely stays at home. So most of the housework is done by my industrious mother. In terms of my elder sisters, both of them have got married.

During my preparation for the postgraduate entrance examination, my parents’ love and support have always been my power. Therefore, I must live up to the expectations of my parents and I hope I will be able to repay them in the future. I love them, I love my family. That’s all, Thank you very much.

3. 我的家乡 (My Hometown)

I am from Heze，a beautiful city in Shandong province ,which enjoys the honor that Heze peony is the best in the world.

As is well known to all, Heze peony is world-famous. Every year，thousands of tourists from all over the world travel to Heze to see the beauty of peony .At the same time, there are many places of interest and historical sites. Besides, the people in my hometown are friendly, enthusiastic as well as hospitable, who readily welcome the travelers. If you come to Hehe in the future, please contact me ahead of time(in advance), I will be your free guide then.

4. 我的大学 (My University)

East China Jiaotong University is located in heroic city-Nanchang. which was founded on Sep 22, 1971. ECJTU is a comprehensive university, which has set up 16 schools, offering 52 specialties for undergraduate education and 46 second-class specialties for post graduate education. At present, it has more than 1600 staff, including 300 professors and associate professors. Now there are more than 20,000 registered students in ECJTU. Based in Jiangxi, facing to the country and the world, all the staff and students of ECJTU will be more open-minded and motivated to develop their careers and to create a more brilliant future.

5. 考研原因 (Reasons for taking postgraduate entrance examination)

Firstly, during my four years at ECJTU, I have learned a lot. However, I am not satisfied with such knowledge. As the saying goes, Knowledge is power .So I want to acquire much more knowledge. Postgraduate study can enrich my knowledge, cultivate my integrated abilities, widen my horizon and make me competent in my future career.

Secondly, I have been deeply attracted(impressed) by the academic atmosphere of HUST. In my point of view, as one of the most famous universities in China, HUST has such a mission of not only disseminating knowledge, expanding knowledge, preserving knowledge but also transferring knowledge. I suppose this is the most important factor in my decision.

In a word, I am looking forward to laying a solid foundation for my future career after two or three years study at HUST.

6. 研究生计划 (My plans in the postgraduate study)

If luckily I got the chance to learn Software Engineering at Huazhong University of Science and Technology，I will concentrate on the study and research in this field.

Firstly, I will try my best to learn the theoretical knowledge to form systematic view of software engineering and have a better understanding of my major，laying a solid foundation for my future career. Secondly, I will take part in some practical projects with the help of the supervisors and classmates .I believe after 2 years of learning ，my dream will finally come true……
