I haven't uploaded any English learning videos for four days. On Saturday and Sunday, I was out with friends at the beach, so I had no time to update. Monday and Tuesday, work was just too hectic at the start of the month, and I was too exhausted to do anything. See, I’m full of excuses, right?
我已经四天没有更新英语学习视频了，周六周日是因为我跟朋友出去玩水了，实在没有时间更新，周一周二是因为月初工作太忙太累不想动，你看，我借口多吧。
While I was out over the weekend, I came up with an idea: I want to edit the photos and videos from my trip into a video and narrate it in English as a way to practice. It’s a good idea, but I’ve been procrastinating and haven’t done it yet.
我周末出去玩的时候想到一个点，我想把出去玩拍的照片跟视频剪辑到一起，然后用我英文描述我游玩的场景，以此来练习英语表达能力。
The truth is, we shouldn’t be perfectionists. If you want to do something, just dive in and create something messy, then refine it later. Otherwise, you’ll get stuck in the pursuit of perfection and never start. Like with the notes I’m supposed to write—I always imagine how great they’ll be, but when I finally sit down to write, I forget most of my ideas. Then I feel like there's nothing worth writing and end up not doing it.
想法是好的，但是我一直拖延没有去执行。人其实不应该有太多的完美主义，想要做一件事直接先做出一堆狗屎出来，然后再慢慢优化它，不然就会因为追求完美而一直拖延着不去执行。
就像我现在要写的笔记，在没写之前总是幻想着能写得多好，但当我真的开始写的时候，之前想到的点子基本都忘得差不多了，然后我就觉得没什么可写的就不写了。
But if I just start writing without overthinking, I end up with a lot of material, which I can then polish. It’s more productive than waiting for the perfect inspiration.
如果我啥都不想，直接临时写，反而能写出一堆东西，然后再检查优化一下，反而能写出来，不论它到底有没有用。
The last two English learning videos I posted didn’t get many views, which made me less motivated to update. But that’s missing the point—I’m not learning English just to make videos; I’m making videos to document my English learning.
之前发的最后两个英语学习视频没有啥播放量，也是导致了我不想去更新视频。这其实是本末倒置的，我并不是因为要发视频而学英语，而是因为要学英语才发视频记录一下。
Starting today, work should be less hectic, and I’ll get back to updating my English learning journey. I have so many ideas about how to study—like reading novels, listening to podcasts, and practicing speaking—but when I finally have time, I end up browsing the web instead.
今天开始我工作应该不会那么忙了，我将继续更新我的英语学习记录。我每天都有很多学英语的想法，比如看小说，听播客，练口语这些，但是当我真的有时间的时候，我还是会去浏览网页。

Yesterday, a friend of mine left his job, and we were planning to go out to celebrate, but everyone's work schedules didn't line up. So, we decided to go to the gym and work out while waiting for everyone. Before we knew it, we had been exercising for two hours. I felt really sweaty and gross, so I went home to take a shower. The others went ahead to play Mahjong while they waited for me. I thought we might go sing karaoke or something afterward, but everyone was having so much fun playing Mahjong that we ended up playing until midnight. Since most of us had to work the next day, we called it a night. Some of the others, who didn't have work the next day, went to play pool and then had some barbecue. They didn't go to sleep until six in the morning! The energy of young people is impressive. I stayed up until 2 a.m., and this morning, I could barely get myself moving.
昨天我朋友离职了，本来想出去聚一聚，但是大家都上班，时间不统一。然后我们就去健身房边锻炼边等他们，不知不觉就锻炼了两个小时。我觉得出太多汗太臭了就回去洗了个澡，他们先去打麻将等我。本来以为会去唱歌之类的，但是麻将打着打着太开心了就直接达到12点，因为大家明天还要上班就直接散了。其中有几个人因为不用上班他们去打台球，然后去吃烧烤，他们到早上六点才睡觉。年轻人精力真好，我昨天熬夜到两点今天早上起来都感觉不太想动了。

I used to read "Magic Tree House," but I found some of the vocabulary a bit outdated, and the storyline a bit childish. After reading seven or eight books, I couldn’t continue.

Today is Monday, August 26th. As we start a new week, I'd like to share a summary of last week and my plans for this week. Instead of writing individual sentences, I'll be sharing a more comprehensive update.
自从上周一开始我发布了一个笔记类型的视频之后，浏览量第一次突破一万，而且有了十几个的点赞、收藏、和新增粉丝。我非常高兴，因为以前视频只有几百浏览量，点赞的也基本上都是我的亲戚。其实我想早点增加粉丝数，达到五百个粉丝可以用电脑直播，你们可以看到我的电脑屏幕的内容。我想跟大家一起学习英语，能够多多交流。
Last Monday, I posted a video in a note-taking format, and for the first time, it got over 10,000 views! I also received several likes, saves, and new followers. I'm thrilled because my previous videos only had a few hundred views, mostly from my relatives. I'm hoping to grow my follower count quickly because once I reach 500 followers, I can live stream from my computer and share my screen with all of you. 我的表达能力不足，在没写这篇文章之前我有好多话要说，但是真正到了要写的时候总是想不起来或者表达不出。这个能力还需要锻炼。我以前看过一本书，有人问作者，怎么锻炼自己的写作能力，成为百万大v，作者回复，当你创作到一百万字的时候就可以了。
I know my communication skills aren't the best. Before writing this, I had so many things I wanted to say, but when it came time to write, I couldn't remember or express them clearly. This is a skill I still need to work on. I once read a book where someone asked the author how to improve their writing skills and become a successful content creator. The author's answer was simple: just keep writing until you've written a million words.
我学了一年英语，我发现英语其实是很简单的学科，因为你只要肯学就能学得会，并不需要天赋，需要财力，只要坚持去学，当你写出一百万个句子你就学会了。
I've been learning English for a year now, and I've realized that it's actually a simple subject. If you're willing to learn, you can do it. It doesn't require talent or a lot of money, just persistence. If you keep at it until you've written a million sentences, you'll have mastered it.
