8.1 Careers in Quantum Computing

There are many companies involved in quantum computing:

1. Traditional technology companies；

4. Mixed state
   pure states：
   · the state of a qubit was |0⟩, |1⟩, or some superposition of |0⟩ and |1⟩
   · the state can be known with certainty, even though the measurement outcome may be probabilistic.
   · visualized as points on the Bloch sphere
   · written using vectors ( kets&&bras)
   mixed state:
   · we are not sure if a qubit is in one pure state or another pure state, then the state itself and not just its outcome is probabilistic.
   · visualized as a point inside the Bloch sphere
   · written using a matrix called a density matrix.
