what does sleep do? sleep command runs the action of literally sleep. all it does is wait some time and quit . it's usage is sleep <seconds> .
jobs
what does jobs do? jobs is literally jobs. inside our shell several programs are running . the programs running are workers , they are doing their jobs , and jobs command will show all running programs in our system.
&
the most cool stuff that i appreciate.it makes programs running at the background not foreground so programs running will not influence us continuing do our work . eg"sleep 5 &" ,"ls &","tail -n +2 &". if wo need to run a big task that will cost much time , we should use this trick.
fg
fg equals foreground , so it brings programs running in the background to foreground .
ctrl + z
it will puase current foreground programs stopped and moves into background.
LEARNING IS COOL!
