Connecting to the World with Aryaka

We are proud to start offering the Aryaka WAN-as-a-Service in China, to help our customers better connect to the world.

As you probably know, it can be difficult to get reliable connections in and out of China. Especially for critical functions such as ERP, order transfering, product updates, replication, and more. Public links can work sporadically, VPNs are increasingly unstable, and real dedicated circuits like MPLS are inflexible, slow to setup, and expensive.

Aryaka is the top global player in private networks and excels at these types of global connections on a local level. They provide a variety of flexible connection methods, especially for the local loop on both ends, with various public/private options, plus WAN optimizations along the way. In our experience, their technical support has also been excellent.

We are strong believers that companies serving Chinese customers must have their servers in mainland China for performance, reliability, and regulatory reasons. But mamy of those systems also need to communicate reliably with international systems such as headquarters, 3rd party partners, logistics providers, and more. Solutions like this are key building blocks of global systems.

Our most common use case is to connect a Chinese company with a single foreign system, usually either a cloud service like ERP or another system such as internal product management. Aryaka WAN-as-a-Service can also connect directly to AWS via Direct Connect VPN.

Aryaka also supports cloud or public services, such as Netsuite or various 3rd parties using gateways and NAT options to remotely forward global services to local systems. Multi-point connections are also popular, using one local link to connect to several sites and systems, reducing overall cost.

Of course such direct connection services create potential legal and regulatory issues, so it’s important to know this service only carries legal traffic and with clear respect for Chinese laws and regulations. It will only carry traffic you can get over the public Internet in China, just with more security, speed, and reliability.
